This weekend, we had the privilege of joining a truly inspiring event at F1 Hotel Manila - BGC. Partnering with the National Children’s Hospital and Little Ark Foundation, the hotel hosted a Blood Donation Drive to support young thalassemia patients. These brave kids depend on regular transfusions got the medical support they needed—and we were honored to add a touch of creativity to their journey.
While donors lined up to give the gift of life, we set up a Klaypel art workshop that quickly became the heart of the event. The children’s excitement was contagious as they dove into their art kits, transforming Klaypel kits into little masterpieces. Watching their little hands work with such focus and joy reminded us why we do what we do.
These kids showed incredible potential and had seriously impressive fine motor skills! They came up to our artist who was doing live Klaypel painting, gave it a go, and immediately got the hang of it. Most kids would not be able to do that on their first try! Their smiles lit up the ballroom, and their finished pieces were the cutest. It was a humbling experience to witness their talent and to be a part of a moment where everyone in the ballroom were suddenly all kids again.
The event wasn’t just about art, though. It was about coming together to make a difference. The healthcare teams shared the vital role of blood donations in supporting patients with thalassemia, and every donor who showed up made an impact. For us, it was a reminder that art, like compassion, has the power to heal and inspire.
As the day wrapped up, we felt deeply fulfilled. The kids left with their creations and a sense of accomplishment. The donors left knowing they’d helped save lives. And we left with renewed gratitude for being part of a community that believes in kindness and creativity.
Thank you, F1 Hotel, for letting us join this amazing initiative. To the National Children’s Hospital, Little Ark Foundation, and everyone who gave their time and support—you’ve shown that together, we can bring light into the lives of others. Let’s keep building a world where art, compassion, and community thrive.
